“Continuity and Change ” Bachelor Studio Project

The project is proposing a new public plaza and focusing on the library building in this proposal, that is responsive to the site context in Springvale.

The thesis researches how to effectively locate the public library and social behaviours of the people in Springvale, how they utilise and react to the site. The proposal is to use colourful materials as the facade, which is because of a primary school nearby, in order to attract those kids to the site. Also, the library arrangement is from the silhouettes of retails in Springvale, which has an irregular staircase-like order.  In an attempt to bring the elements in Springvale to the design.
